Adding and Editing your Projects

To enter PROJECTS:
You’re on the HOME screen. Tap on the icon button at the bottom of the screen called PROJECTS – this will take you to the PROJECTS screen. Now you can start to enter your Queued, In Progress and Completed projects.

tap the ‘ADD‘ button at the bottom of the screen
– opens the ‘PROJECT DETAILS’ screen where you begin entering the details for your project
– the only fields you must make an entry into is the ‘Pattern Name’ and ‘Project’  fields
– for the rest it is up to you how much information you want to add

Add Photo
– tap the ‘Add Photo’ box
– you can either use the camera in your device to take a photo or choose a photo you already have stored on the device

Pattern Name
– tap in the field ‘Pattern Name’ and start typing

Project
– tap in the field ‘Project’ and start typing

Size
– tap in the field ‘Size’ and start typing

Brand of Yarn
– tap in the field ‘Brand of Yarn’ (or the > symbol at the end of the line)
– a drop-down list will open
– select from the list by scrolling the list OR
– start typing your brand and the list will go to that brand if it is already in the pre-filled list OR
– or you can type your yarn into the field and click the ‘SAVE’ button – this will add this yarn to your list of yarns

Name of Yarn
– tap in the field
– You can add a name for the yarn or leave it blank

Yarn weight
– you can select the yarn weight (or type), for example 8 ply,’Sock’, ‘Aran’ etc.
– tap in the field ‘Select weight’ OR | tap the > symbol
– follow the tips for ‘Brand’
– you can also type in what you want and click ‘Save’ to add it to your list of ‘Yarn weights’

Fibre
– tap in the field ‘Select fibre’ OR | tap the > symbol
– use the same tips for ‘Brand’

Number of skeins
– tap in the field and type in a number OR
– use the – or + symbols OR
– use the > symbol at the end of the line and a scroll wheel will be displayed, then you scroll to the number you want

Metres per skein
– you can chose ‘yards’ or ‘metres’ by tapping the button
– use the same tips as for ‘Number of Skeins’ above

Grams per skein
– you can choose ‘ounces’ or ‘grams’ by tapping the button
– use the same tips as for ‘Number of Skeins’ above

Yarn colour name
You can add a ‘Yarn Colour Name’ or leave it blank (for instance, this would be the name or number on the ball band)

Colour Name
– tap in the field ‘Name of Brand’ and start typing

Dyelot
– you can add a dyelot (this is useful if you need more yarn to finish a project)

Gauge 
– choose the gauge by: per 10cm | per 4 inches | per inch – or add your own measurement
– tap in the field ‘Select gauge’, OR| tap the > symbol

Stitches
– the number of stitches recommended for the gauge – as specified in the Pattern
– tap in the field and type in a number OR
– use the – or + symbols OR
– use the > symbol and a scroll wheel will be displayed

Rows
– the number of rows recommended for the gauge – as specified in the Pattern
– follow the tips for ‘Stitches’

Needle size 
– the recommended needle size for this pattern
– you can choose to see a list of needle sizes that is in the format: US | metric | UK
– if you enter, say, a metric needle size, then change the format to US, the equivalent needle size for a US needle will be displayed
– tap in the field at ‘Select’, OR
– use the > symbol
– a list of needle sizes are displayed – the list displayed will be for the category selected: US | metric | UK

You can make a note of where you bought this yarn

When
You can make a note of when you bought this yarn

Status
You can mark the status of the project by tapping either: Queued,  In Progress or Completed buttons

Notes
Type in anything you like!

When you are finished click the ‘DONE‘ button
The PROJECT screen is now displayed and the Project you have just entered is displayed in the ‘PROJECT DETAILS’ pane

NOTE for the iPad version: you can click on the photo and an enlarged image will be displayed

To EDIT your Projects
– select the Project in the list, that you want to Edit
– the Project will be displayed in the Details pane at the right of the screen
– click the EDIT button, at the top of the screen
– the Project Details screen opens
– you can now change any detail on this screen
– when you are finished, click the Done button
